Panasonic has prepared a series of new models of televisions, which appear in the British Retail already at the beginning of this month. Traditionally Panasonic focuses more on plasmas, and prepared 15 new ones but did not forget about the LCDs and developed 9 new models. The size of the new models are 32 and 37 for LCD screens and 37, 42, 46 and 50 for plasmas. The new TVs would have an even better color reproduction, contrast and improved control traffic flow. HD Ready Television, in its name will have the letter “X”, while the Full HD “Z” Plasma models will precede the “TH”, LCD and “TX”.

The rear projection method that is displaying an image on large screens by using mirrors and lenses is not profitable. Television of this kind are of great dimensions, low durability and are expensive. At a time of record development of LCD and plasmas manufacturers focus on solutions, where production is cheap and the demand high. In connection with the production of rear-projection withdrew already Epson, Hitachi and Sony. Until recently joined the group of Panasonic, which in mid-March has posted information about his resignation.

Although modern televisions are equipped in majority in LCD panels, Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. Ltd. (Panasonic owner) sticks to plasma technology. Typically, this type of screens represent only a minor part of overall sales of televisions when it comes to the situations of other manufacturers, therefore, their plans to plasmas are much more modest than those of Panasonic. You see, however, persistence and consistency pays off because Matsushita last year produced 7.5 million TVs of which 4.25 million were plasma. This result assured that the Japanese are in the 6 position in world ranking producer of flat televisions. Panasonic does not rest on our laurels, however, and plans to increase its sales by 47% since their teeth on the blades 3 position. After recent meetings with the new Panasonic models received that they have a realistic chance of achieving this result.
